Join the Bike Path Tree Care Event in Sun Valley, August 29

Help care for local trees and improve the Sun Valley community at the Bike Path Tree Care Event on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

The Sun Valley Area Neighborhood Council and its community partners invite volunteers to participate in tree watering, weed removal, and trash cleanup along the bike path.

Event Details

Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026
Event time: 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Orientation: Arrive at 7:30 a.m.
Location: 8202 San Fernando Road, Sun Valley, CA 91352
Cross street: Sunland Boulevard, Council District 2

Volunteers who arrive at 7:30 a.m. will receive a light snack and participate in a brief orientation before the work begins.

Volunteer Activities

Participants will help with:

• Removing weeds
• Watering trees
• Collecting trash
• Improving the appearance of the bike path

Tools will be provided. Volunteers should bring a reusable water bottle and wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather.

Community service hours will be available.

Help Build a Cleaner Sun Valley

This event is an opportunity to meet neighbors, care for recently planted trees, and help create a cleaner and more welcoming bike path.
