Join the Effort to Beautify the Neighborhood
The Sun Valley Area Neighborhood Council is teaming up with Councilmember Imelda Padilla and several community organizations for a large-scale clean-up event along the San Fernando Road bike path. The event will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025 , from 8:00 am to 11:00 am , and volunteers are invited to participate in cleaning both sides of the bike path from Branford Street to Sheldon Street , including Truesdale Street .
Volunteers will meet for staging at 12113 Truesdale Street, Sun Valley, CA 91352 , located at the corner of San Fernando Road. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 7:30 am for light snacks and orientation. Everyone is asked to bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated while working.
This community clean-up effort is supported by local partners including Republic Services, RecycLA, SA Recycling, NEGB.org, The Climate Corps Initiative, Foothill Division of LAPD, Grupo Comunidad, Spartans Insurance Services, North Valley Occupational Center, and 7-Eleven. Their shared goal is to enhance neighborhood pride, improve safety, and promote environmental sustainability in Sun Valley.
Whether you are a long-time resident or new to the neighborhood, this is a great opportunity to meet neighbors, contribute to your community, and make a visible difference in a few short hours.

Limpieza Comunitaria en la Vía de Bicicleta de San Fernando Road – Sun Valley
El Consejo Vecinal del Área de Sun Valley, junto con la concejal Imelda Padilla y varias organizaciones locales, invita a los residentes a participar en una limpieza comunitaria el sábado 28 de junio de 2025, de 8:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m., en la vía de bicicletas de San Fernando Road, entre Branford Street y Sheldon Street, incluyendo la calle Truesdale.
El punto de encuentro será en 12113 Truesdale Street, Sun Valley, CA 91352, en la esquina con San Fernando Road. Se recomienda llegar a las 7:30 a.m. para recibir una orientación breve y disfrutar de un refrigerio ligero. Todos los participantes deben llevar una botella de agua reutilizable.
Esta limpieza cuenta con el apoyo de Republic Services, RecycLA, SA Recycling, NEGB.org, The Climate Corps Initiative, la División Foothill del LAPD, Grupo Comunidad, Spartans Insurance Services, North Valley Occupational Center y 7-Eleven.
